Body Fit Plus Inc is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team at a correctional facility in Soledad, California. As a Psychologist, you will provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates, maintain order and supervise conduct, and protect the safety of persons and property.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Psychological Services: Conduct initial mental health evaluations, assess inmate needs, and make treatment recommendations.
- Maintain Order and Supervise Conduct: Ensure the safety and well-being of inmates, staff, and property.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work effectively with staff from all classifications to enhance professional working relationships.
- Conduct Crisis Intervention and Group Psychotherapy: Meet with mentally ill inmates for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Write clinical reports, diagnose, and manage presenting symptomatology.
- Consult with Supervisors and Treatment Teams: Collaborate with supervisors, treatment team members, and institutional healthcare personnel to develop effective treatment plans.
- Document Care Provided: Record all care provided to inmates, including face-to-face contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
- Monitor Inmate Progress: Use Subjective Assessment Plan Evaluation (SOAPE) FORMATTED PROGRESS NOTES to track inmate progress.
- Experience: Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institutions.
- Certifications: Valid Photo ID, Driver's License or Passport, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licenses: Valid California Psychologist license.
- Health Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
- Quarterly Bonus: Eligible for a quarterly bonus.
- Paid Sick Time: 40 hours of paid sick time.
- Payroll: Weekly direct deposit payroll.
- Paid Pre-Employment Testing: Paid pre-employment testing.
