We are seeking a Quality Assurance Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in planning, coordinating, and directing the quality assurance initiatives aimed at ensuring the consistent production of goods that meet established standards. The successful candidate will perform these duties personally or through team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the voice of the customer in internal processes.
  • Ensure that customer-specific requirements and quality standards are accounted for.
  • Advocate for the selection of appropriate special characteristics for production.
  • Oversee and update inspection protocols and control plans for all new products.
  • Manage relationships with new clients.
  • Continuously review capability studies to ensure compliance and drive improvement.
  • Establish and monitor quality objectives as outlined in the Plant Quality Plans.
  • Strive for the highest level of customer satisfaction and develop improvement strategies when gaps are identified.
  • Initiate actions to prevent any nonconformities related to products, processes, and quality systems.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement culture by analyzing product defects and recommending corrective modifications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers regarding quality-related issues.
  • Control the processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until deficiencies are resolved.
  • Oversee all aspects of plant quality personnel, including assessing current capabilities and fostering ongoing development.
  • Manage receiving inspections, final audits, testing laboratories, internal audit programs, gage and calibration processes, and material traceability activities to ensure the effectiveness of the Quality System.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in mathematical concepts such as probability, capability, and statistical analysis.
  • Maintain necessary certifications and qualifications for the role. Monitor and communicate quality-related operational metrics.
  • Evaluate, train, and prepare for future demands related to strategic and operational objectives.
  • Experience as a Tier 1 Quality Manager/Engineer in the Automotive OEM sector is preferred, but other relevant education and experience will be considered.
