Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Imaging: Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Procedure Preparation: Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
- Scan Performance: Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support and adjusting scan parameters as needed.
- Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records within our Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines and maintain an orderly and clean work area.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Department Support: Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades, monitor medical supply inventory, and request supplies as needed.
- Training and Development: Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
Requirements:
- Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; ARRT certification in MRI required.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in MRI imaging preferred.
