Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Med Surg is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
