Job Overview:
Noble Hearts Hr Consulting is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bus Driver to ensure the safe transportation of children to and from their residences and educational centers.
In this role, the Bus Driver plays a crucial part in the daily routine of both children and parents, being the first and last point of contact during their program day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the bus or alternative vehicle for transporting children.
- Maintain precise records, including accident reports, pre- and post-trip inspections, and ongoing maintenance logs.
- Provide written routes and alternative paths as necessary.
- Assist children to their classrooms and relay messages from parents to teachers while reporting any incidents during transit.
- Collaborate with the Bus Monitor to educate children on safe riding practices and procedures.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment inside and outside the vehicle through regular cleaning.
- Verify that the assigned vehicle meets all safety inspection requirements mandated by authorities.
- Participate in training sessions related to child safety and care for children with disabilities.
- Undergo annual evaluations that include performance observations during bus routes.
- Act as a positive role model for children and maintain professional interactions with parents or guardians.
Essential Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Demonstrated experience in safely transporting children.
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
- Able to lift children weighing up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Pass all required physical examinations and background checks.
- Maintain compliance with current health screening requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic computer literacy, including email and internet navigation.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Familiarity with the local community and languages spoken by families served.
- Ability to problem-solve and lead in emergency situations.
