Nurse Manager for MSICU Job Summary

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Nurse Manager for the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital. As a seasoned nurse leader, you will oversee the delivery of patient care, manage staff, and contribute to the growth and success of our ICU team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the MSICU unit, ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient resource allocation.
  • Mentoring and developing a team of skilled nurses to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary teams to address complex clinical issues and develop evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Managing unit budgets and resources to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills in critical care nursing and sharing best practices with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Certification as a CCRN or other relevant certifications.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
