Role Overview

At Ascendo Resources, we are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery, including horizontal boring mills and machining centers, to machine precision parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills and machining centers to precision machine various parts according to engineering designs and blueprints.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings to accurately machine parts, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Maintain and adhere to machinery maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Support final testing and quality checks to ensure that machined parts meet design specifications.
  • Collaborate with other machinists and engineers to meet production targets and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience, with proven expertise in CNC horizontal boring mills or machining centers.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the defense industry, is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary technical training preferred.
