Position Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in assisting with the care and preparation of surgical patients and the operating room, working under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. Responsibilities include the assembly, setup, and utilization of surgical instruments and equipment during procedures, as well as passing instruments to the surgeon and their assistants. The work environment is primarily routine but can quickly shift to emergent or critical situations, requiring both guided and independent decision-making based on the circumstances.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
  • National certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred
  • Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration is required prior to the start date
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Previous experience is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, as well as paid time off. As mandated by various pay transparency laws, we provide a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $45.77 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and certifications. If this position is part of a union contract, pay will align with the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant's years of experience.
