About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Roxboro, North Carolina. As a home health occupational therapist, you will work with adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in homes throughout Person, Caswell, Granville, Vance, Franklin, and Nash counties.

Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. You will be responsible for providing skilled home visits to patients, assessing their functional status, developing individualized intervention plans, and educating patients and family members on rehabilitative care and activities necessary for independent living.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, and ADL and IADL performance
  • Develop individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects of performance
  • Educate patients, family members, or other patient representatives on rehabilitative care and activities necessary for independent living
Requirements
  • A current North Carolina Occupational Therapist license
  • Prior home care experience preferred, but not required
  • A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
