Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Radiology Intervention Specialist to join our dynamic team.

The Radiology Intervention Specialist is responsible for delivering and coordinating high-quality patient care within the Heart and Vascular Center, following the directives of licensed physicians and adhering to the mission and values of CommonSpirit Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the routine use and quality control of angiography equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with established radiation safety protocols within the procedure environment.
  • Evaluate patient needs by gathering relevant data and utilizing professional judgment to select appropriate products for procedures.
  • Educate patients regarding their procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of sterile technique during procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, administer contrast, and perform imaging under the supervision of the IR physician.
  • Expertly manage imaging equipment to ensure accurate visualization during angiography.
  • Assist physicians with specialized equipment for diagnostic and interventional purposes.
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of completed exams for physician interpretation, ensuring quality imaging protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Radiological Technology. Membership with the relevant Medical Imaging and Radiation Board.

Licensure: Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.

Experience: Preferred minimum of one year in a Radiological Technologist role.

Skills: Ability to work independently, demonstrating proficiency in both standard and complex procedures with minimal supervision. Strong knowledge of radiological technology and computer skills.
