Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an OB/GYN professional seeking both vacancy and permanent search options.
Coverage Details
We are looking for one provider, although multiple candidates may be accepted. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
Work Schedule
Preferred candidates should be able to cover both clinic hours and on-call duties. The scheduled clinical hours will include beeper call, with a shift of 24-hour call.
Availability
Open dates for coverage will be communicated promptly. The call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes, with a call ratio of 1:2 and a callback percentage of 25.
Patient Load
During a 24-hour period, the average phone consultations are approximately 10, with 2 patients seen and 1 admission required. Rounding will be part of the responsibilities.
Department Overview
The department consists of 15 beds, with an average of 5-10 patients per shift. The facility handles around 300 deliveries annually and is certified for stroke care.
Support Staff
You will be supported by a dedicated team, including 1 RN, 3 Medical Assistants, 1 Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, and 3 office staff members. No teaching or supervision responsibilities are required.
Technology
The electronic medical records system utilized is Athena and MediTech. All expenses will be covered, and weekly payments will be provided along with malpractice insurance.
