Role Overview:
Our AI team is leading the charge in transforming sports technology, aiming to enhance every moment for fans and players alike. We are in search of a driven and hands-on Senior Engineer who possesses a passion for sports and a talent for innovation. Your role will involve collaborating with our AI team to enrich user experiences on Yahoo Sports through advanced AI applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address challenges related to content classification, summarization, personalization, ranking, and insights extraction.
- Develop and maintain applications that scale effectively within the Yahoo Sports ecosystem.
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals who share a commitment to innovation at the intersection of sports and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python, including knowledge of Design Patterns, Unit Testing, OOP, Functional Testing, and Asynchronous Programming.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining large-scale applications.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and API Gateway.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) frameworks like Terraform or CDK.
- Knowledge of AI tools and models, including generative AI and other large language models.
- A genuine passion for the sports industry and a commitment to delivering indispensable products to our users.

Compensation and Benefits:
