Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Administers a range of human resources plans and procedures for designated areas; assists in the formulation and implementation of personnel policies.
  • Contributes to the establishment of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Oversees the performance evaluation program to ensure effectiveness.
  • Monitors the affirmative action program for assigned staff and proactively addresses any areas of concern, maintaining necessary records and reports to comply with EEO regulations.
  • Handles all recruitment activities for designated departments; tracks employee career paths and development opportunities.
  • Facilitates talent identification processes and succession planning within the assigned area.
  • Provides employee relations counseling, outplacement support, and conducts exit interviews.
  • Leads HR discussions during functional staff meetings to promote collaboration.
  • Recommends innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and best practices across the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Develops strategic recommendations for recruitment processes and systems.
  • Manages the college recruitment initiatives and evaluates their effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with TS regulations within the HR function.
  • Facilitates plant-wide communications and organizes events to foster engagement.
  • Supports staff events, meetings, and other initiatives as required.
  • Processes orders for plant supplies to support various employee initiatives.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related HR role.
  • Proficient in payroll/human resource systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
