Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at PEAK Technical Staffing USA. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design heat exchangers and cooling system modules for assigned customers, ensuring that they meet customer requirements and are economically viable.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to customer engineering personnel, ensuring that they have the necessary information to design and develop their products.
  • Prototype Development: Coordinate the build and ensure the accuracy of prototypes, ensuring that they meet customer requirements.
  • Test and Validation: Specify test requirements and analyze test results on assigning products to validate performance and durability of new and revised designs.
  • Design Specification: Ensure that plant production and manufacturing personnel understand design specifications, ensuring that products are manufactured correctly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and the plant to ensure that new models are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements.
  • Product Improvement: Monitor feedback from the field and initiate product improvement when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and 5-8 years of recent and related experience preferred.
  • Qualifications: College graduates in engineering or related technical discipline with limited school and 2-5 years equivalent experience combined.
  • Skills: BOM's (Bill of Materials), Sourcing Supplier Catalogs (parts and equipment industrial or power generation), Sourcing parts and equipment for Mechanical Engine Drive Systems, Fan/Power Generation (Drive Systems, Fans, Belts, Gears, Bearings, Bushings).
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of heat transfer and its application to assigned products and of the customer's product and end use are required.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
