Position Overview

This role involves assisting in the operation of packaging machinery, inspecting products, filling feed trays, assembling boxes, and packing items into cases. The position may require rotation across various lines within the production and packaging area to ensure seamless operation.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position on the 2nd shift, consisting of 40 hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a steady supply of materials for tapers, fillers, box makers, labelers, and other packaging equipment.
  • Return unused materials to the warehouse for restocking in a resealed container.
  • Verify proper coding on product containers and cases, ensuring the correct application of safety seals.
  • Assemble boxes and cases for product packing as necessary.
  • Conduct visual inspections of products for quality assurance and remove any defective items.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and productivity standards within the plant area.
  • Adjust the case sealer to the appropriate height and width daily, modifying as required by production needs.
  • Set up the conveyor system for case taper and packer operations.
  • Support machine operators in maintaining continuous production flow.
  • Perform duties across all packaging lines as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members on the packaging line.
  • Report any quality issues to the line operator, supervisor, or quality assurance supervisor.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, 5S, food safety, OSHA, and HACCP support programs, complying with all company, customer, and regulatory standards in the work area.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications

Preferred experience of 0-3 years in a manufacturing setting.

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
