Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Primary Care team in Southbury, CT. As a Medical Office LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians and physician assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for medical exams, obtain vital signs, and collect medical data.
  • Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, medications, and wound care.
  • Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
  • Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
  • Communicate with patients via phone to provide follow-up, test results, and physician instructions.
  • Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve practice and WCMG missions through quality improvement.
  • Meet meaningful use requirements and fulfill compliance responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
  • Computer skills and data entry.
  • Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
  • Vaccine administration and medication preparation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
Work Environment

This position requires working 8-hour shifts between 8am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. The work environment is generally pleasant, with minimal occupational risk.
