**Job Summary**

The **Manufacturing Machinist** will support **Manufacturing Operations** and **Engineering** by performing **Production Machining**, operating **Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines**, and **Manual Mills and Lathes** to rough and finish machine castings.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Produces high-quality castings without damage and in compliance with customer specifications.
  • Reviews and follows technical cards, setup cards, and tooling sheets.
  • Tests tool offsets and controller program functions.
  • Operates CNC machines, manual mills, and lathes to complete various tasks.
  • Communicates potential problems to supervisors and suggests corrective actions.
  • Maintains equipment in good operating condition for oncoming shift personnel.
  • Completes logs and records.
  • Cross-trains in CMM and performs CMM job duties as needed.
  • Ensures safe work practices by adhering to safety rules and identifying and reporting safety problems.
**Requirements**
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic trigonometry and algebra knowledge.
  • Minimum of two years' CNC or CMM machining experience or equivalent education and experience strongly preferred.
  • Manual milling experience, including lathe setup and operation required.
**Physical Requirements**
  • Ability to stand and walk to perform daily job functions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to exert up to seventy-five pounds of force to lift and move objects.
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
