Project Engineer - Hydrology and Hydraulics

Garver is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Hydrology and Hydraulics to collaborate with our Transportation Team and contribute to the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic reports, studies, and designs for municipal, highway, and other clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement hydrologic and hydraulic models for streams, rivers, drainage systems, and other storm water conveyance features
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, studies, and designs related to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
  • Work closely with senior H&H managers to enhance modeling skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to deliver project results for clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
  • Coursework emphasis in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources engineering
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed as an Engineer in Training (EI) or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis software, particularly HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
  • Previous experience in consulting engineering with a focus on hydrology and hydraulics projects
  • Proficiency in CAD design software such as MicroStation
  • Experience with ESRI Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software
  • Master's degree in engineering with an emphasis in water resources engineering
  • Experience with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling software
