Job Description

Auburn University's Department of Chemical Engineering invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. We are seeking highly qualified candidates with expertise in catalysis, computational catalysis, and process systems engineering, with a focus on sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the growth of the department's strategic focus areas: energy and environment, advanced materials, computer-aided chemical engineering, and pharmaceutical/biomedical engineering.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on attracting and sustaining externally sponsored research funding.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, and mentor students at all levels.
  • Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary research projects and contribute to the department's research initiatives.
Requirements
  • PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of personal motivation.
  • A strong commitment to teaching and research, with a demonstrated ability to excel in both areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A strong record of scholarly publication and a proven ability to attract research funding.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students at all levels.
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty and contribute to the department's research initiatives.
