Position Summary
The Internal Medicine Physician plays a crucial role within the clinical practice team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. This role involves managing a diverse patient panel, addressing chronic illnesses, and treating acute medical conditions across the adult age spectrum. Physicians at our health center will have the opportunity to work alongside various disciplines, including mental health, pharmacy, reproductive health, dental, and optometry services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic health issues, as well as those seeking preventive services.
- Conduct patient examinations, develop diagnostic plans, and order necessary tests. Analyze findings and implement effective treatment strategies.
- Provide reproductive health services, including IUD and Nexplanon procedures, cervical exams, and prenatal care when applicable.
- Identify the need for specialist consultations and collaborate on patient care with other healthcare providers.
- Prescribe medications and evaluate their effectiveness based on patients' medical conditions.
- Achieve the Health Center's annual productivity targets.
- Maintain accurate and timely Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call duties as scheduled by the Medical Director.
- Graduation from an accredited medical school (M.D. or D.O.).
- Current Massachusetts medical license.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency program.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine (ABMS) within one year of residency completion.
- Compliance with the Health Center's vaccination requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range of $200,000-$220,000.
- Comprehensive time-off package, including four weeks of paid vacation, eleven paid holidays, three personal days, five sick days, and three extended sick days.
- Work schedule includes 32 hours of clinical responsibilities and 8 hours of administrative tasks, with remote work options available.
- Eligibility for Federal and State Loan Repayment Programs.
