Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Cyber Security team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex Cyber Security systems and architectures. Your expertise will be instrumental in protecting our connected world from cyber threats and ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of Cyber Security systems and architectures, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate design options and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Serve as a technical resource to interdisciplinary teams and management, providing guidance and expertise on Cyber Security matters.
  • Drive the execution of objectives, including code reviews, test data analysis, and investigation of new target platforms.
  • Maintain and improve existing designs and source code to achieve a modular structure and advance the state of the art through trade study analysis.
  • Embrace the implementation of new tools and processes that extend design-development-test automation.
  • Lead investigations into root cause analysis of hardware, software, and firmware defects and resolve the defects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with 15 years of hands-on design, development, integration, and successful verification experience.
  • Substantial and proven experience in High Assurance Architectures, design, and Product lifecycles.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at a technical and business user level.
  • Experience supporting technical proposal efforts, including requirements decomposition and verification techniques, architectural design, product definition, and description, as well as estimation.
  • United States Citizenship required.
  • The ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Ability to travel 10% (domestically).

Compensation

Viasat offers a competitive salary range of $156,272.70 annually, plus additional cash or stock incentives, and a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
