Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription dispensing, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and labeling.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for potential interactions, and ensuring accurate medication administration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient information, medication lists, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stocking.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and label medications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
