At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Mechanical Engineer on our Starship team, you'll play a critical role in designing and building the next generation of spacecraft.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop custom machinery and infrastructure to support Starship production
  • Collaborate with vehicle engineers to optimize production processes and vehicle design
  • Develop and implement structural sizing, mechanism design, and hardware fabrication techniques
  • Work with the controls engineering team to activate and test machinery
  • Manage large CAD assembly models and drawings
  • Design and test mechanisms to ensure efficient and reliable operation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience with CAD software design packages (e.g. Solidworks, NX, CATIA, or ProE)
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, or production engineering
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with finite element analysis and GD&T
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and production processes
