About the Job

Hudson Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Healthcare Professional - Anesthesia Coding and Billing to accurately code and bill anesthesia services provided to patients during surgical procedures.

About the Role:

  • Review Anesthesia Records: Analyze anesthesia records, operative reports, and other relevant documentation to understand the specific services rendered.
  • Assign Accurate Codes: Utilize established medical coding systems (e.g., CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM) to assign appropriate codes for the anesthesia services provided.
  • Prepare and Submit Claims: Generate accurate and complete billing claims for submission to insurance companies or patients.
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest coding guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with Anesthesia Providers: Communicate effectively with anesthesia providers to clarify documentation and optimize billing processes.
Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS-P,) and anesthesia-specific coding (e.g., CANPC) are highly preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in anesthesia.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures. Proficiency in medical billing software is essential.
