Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Master Machinist to join our team at Ascentec Engineering, LLC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in setting up and operating CNC machines for quick-turn prototypes and low/mid-volume production parts.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have trade school education and/or at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
  • CNC Setup and Operation: Teach tools, load programs, and set/adjust work/tool offsets on Haas, Fanuc, and Okuma controls.
  • Precision Work: Read prints and inspect parts for conformance to typically +/- .005 tolerance.
  • Quality Assurance: Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
Requirements
  • Skill and Experience: Trade school and/or at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs continuously.
Working Conditions
  • Machining Environment: Work is performed in a machine shop environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
Compensation Package
  • Estimated Salary: $65,000-$80,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
