POSITION SUMMARY:
Under close supervision, the Store Worker I is responsible for stocking and maintaining cleanliness at a retail location, primarily focused on the resale of products. Utilizing non-motorized equipment, the Store Worker I will organize merchandise for display and resale, adhering to a systematic placement protocol.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. *Stocking merchandise on shelves.
2. *Reorganizing misplaced items.
3. *Removing excess and damaged products, as well as debris.
4. *Arranging merchandise for an appealing and marketable presentation.
5. *Rotating stock to ensure freshness and compliance with sale dates.
6. *Discarding damaged or outdated items.
7. *Returning surplus merchandise to storage.
8. *Cleaning and dusting shelves and products using standard retail practices.
9. *Conducting wet or dry clean-up tasks.
10. *Providing excellent customer service regarding product location and selection.
11. *Occasionally operating manual pallet jacks or carts.
12. *Completing additional duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures;
Competence in using appropriate tools and equipment;
Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and varying tasks;
Availability for evening shifts;
Basic math skills for reporting quantities and stock placement;
Capability to interpret stock and shelf labels, date codes, and manage stock rotation;
Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, and vendors while demonstrating strong customer service skills;
Proficiency in managing time and adapting to changing priorities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Employees must be capable of performing the following physical tasks for extended periods, with or without assistance:
- Navigating within the retail environment
- Bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
- Lifting and/or carrying items up to 25 pounds
- Pulling and/or pushing loads up to 75 pounds
- Grasping various objects
- Climbing or standing on ladders and stools
- Coordinating skills to arrange and rotate products on shelves.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The role is performed in a retail, warehouse, or distribution setting, where employees may encounter equipment noise and varying weather conditions.
