Overview
As a vital member of the rehabilitation team, the Physical Therapist Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering therapeutic interventions to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient care in alignment with established protocols and treatment guidelines.
  • Exhibit conduct that reflects the core values and ethical standards of FYZICAL.
  • Implement and adhere to our behavioral model (ARC) consistently in practice.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, and incident reports.
  • Facilitate prompt treatment for patients according to their scheduled appointments.
  • Educate patients on the significance of adhering to their treatment plans, including home exercise regimens, aiming for a 90% appointment attendance rate.
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, administering various therapeutic modalities such as manual exercises, therapeutic massage, and electrical treatments.
  • Administer traction therapy to alleviate neck and back discomfort.
  • Guide and motivate patients in enhancing their functional activities, including mobility and daily living tasks.
  • Monitor patient responses during treatments and compile relevant data for the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assist in fitting and instructing patients on the use of orthopedic devices and supportive equipment.
  • Collaborate with the physical therapy team and other healthcare professionals to discuss and evaluate patient treatment plans.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to new Physical Therapist Assistants and oversee the work of Rehabilitation Technicians.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as inventory management, supply ordering, and communication duties.
  • Measure and record patients' physical metrics to assess treatment effectiveness.
  • Supervise treatments conducted by Rehabilitation Technicians.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the essential duties outlined above. The following qualifications are essential:

Education and Experience:
Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and possession of a valid state license.

Language Proficiency:
Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational guidelines, and procedural documents. Capable of writing routine reports and effectively communicating with groups.

Mathematical Competence:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data accurately.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in database management, internet navigation, spreadsheet applications, and word processing software.

Interpersonal Skills:
Demonstrate warmth, compassion, and professionalism in interactions with patients and colleagues.

Teamwork:
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, maintaining positive relationships with others.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients and equipment, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment:
