AVA is a rooftop destination offering a unique escape from the daily grind. Our outdoor rooftop oasis features classic craft cocktails and Mediterranean-inspired small plates perfect for sharing.

Server Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests, upselling when taking orders.
  • Maintain a fun, energetic atmosphere while ensuring professionalism at all times.
  • Provide outstanding service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and kitchen staff verbally and through the point of sales system.
  • Clearly communicate with guests, patiently and with good humor.
  • Be well-versed in all concept products and menu items to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items.
  • Consistently check guests' identification to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when service should cease, notifying management of incidents.
  • Complete assigned side work and accurately account for sales and payments.
  • Alert management of service and/or safety issues, making appropriate service recovery gestures.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages.
Server Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue, preferably a nightclub environment.
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments.
  • Meet state legal age requirements.
  • Speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
  • Be courteous, pleasant, and good-natured.
  • Utilize communication skills significantly when interacting with guests, bartender, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors.
  • Hold alcohol awareness certification and/or a food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required.
  • Read and write frequently when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
  • Utilize basic math skills frequently when handling cash and credit.
  • Be prepared to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

The Server position requires the ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, safely stand and move about the facility, and handle food and objects effectively.
