Key Responsibilities- Administer Radiation Therapy: Work closely with physicians to administer radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of treatment plans.
- Assist with Treatment Planning: Collaborate with radiation oncologists, clinical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to prepare physical and technical aspects of radiation treatment plans.
- Maintain Patient Records: Accurately maintain patient and billing records, reports, and files, adhering to department policies and procedures.
- Perform Quality Assurance: Conduct routine and complex radiation therapy treatments, ensuring compliance with established practices and standards.
- Provide Clinical Instruction: Offer on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists.
- Education: Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by the Council of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA).
- Licensure/Certification: Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Board Eligible (must receive certification within one year of hire).
- Professional Experience: No prior experience required.
