Job Summary
Medline Industries - Transportation & Operations is seeking a skilled Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our MedTrans fleet, you will play a critical role in delivering lifesaving medical products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Securing: Load and secure medical products from our facility into a parcel van and/or straight truck.
- Safe Transportation: Safely operate a parcel van and/or straight truck between our facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route, adhering to our safety regulations and guidelines.
- Customer Service: Unload and deliver products at customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries and providing excellent customer service.
- Communication: Communicate with our dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery routes or schedules to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
- Logistics and Maintenance: Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy, and perform regular vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid US driver's license and a valid Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) for a Class B License if required by the state.
- Commercial Motor Vehicle Operation: Meet Federal and State requirements for the operation of commercial motor vehicles.
- Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record with no serious violations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant work experience.
