Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor position requires teaching courses in undergraduate and graduate degree programs, developing a research agenda, providing departmental service, and engaging in student success initiatives. The position is an academic, tenure-track appointment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach courses in policing, criminology, and related areasDevelop a sustainable research programContribute to departmental service and student success initiativesRequired Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in criminal justice, criminology, or a related fieldExpertise in policingCommitment to institutional student success initiativesWillingness to engage with best practices in instruction and pedagogyPreferred Qualifications:
Evidence of successful college-level teaching experienceAbility to contribute to courses in policing, forensics, investigations, and legal processesInterest in collaborative research with existing faculty membersEstimated Salary Range:$60,000 - $80,000 per year
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
