Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at Hughston Medical Physicians. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to patients with injuries or diseases, with the goal of restoring function, preventing disability, and relieving pain.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other departments to discuss the impact of physical therapy factors on patient health status.
  • Document patient findings, treatments, and other relevant information for medical records and billing purposes.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on proper care and use of various therapies and exercises.
  • Serve as a resource for patients, families, and therapy staff, providing information and support as needed.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations to stay current with industry developments.
  • Perform related work as required and recommend solutions to patient care problems.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned.
Hughston Responsibilities
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, clinic employees, supervisors, and outside vendors.
  • Promote Hughston Clinic Orthopaedic's role in the community by greeting and interacting with patients, families, visitors, vendors, and guests in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Provide support or relief for other staff as needed and demonstrate confidentiality in all aspects, including patient and non-patient issues.
  • Reflect Hughston Clinic Orthopaedic's values and be sensitive to the company's ethical and compliance principles in daily activities.
  • Promote resolution of concerns and conflict by routing through the correct mechanism or resolving the situation.
  • Able to prioritize daily functions and tasks, display a willingness to put forth effort in problem-solving, and perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The Physical Therapist will be required to lift and carry 50 pounds, move patients and equipment, and perform other physical demands as necessary. The working environment will be a general medical clinic setting.

Requirements
  • No experience required, 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Must have a current state license in physical therapy and maintain BLS certification.
  • Must be able to relate professionally with patients, family members, facility staff, and physicians.
  • Must be able to interact with all hospital and clinic departments.
  • Must be able to work within the current budget and assist the director as needed.
  • Must be able to supervise COTA, PTA, PT Aides, and perform other duties as assigned.
