Job Title: Data Engineer - Informatics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Informatics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, as well as collaborating with the team to optimize the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using ETL tools such as SSIS, Matillion, and Talend.
  • Collaborate with the Informatics team to optimize the Enterprise Data Warehouse and ensure it meets the needs of the data science and analytics teams.
  • Implement Kimball modeling techniques to build conformed dimensions and fact tables.
  • Automate data preparation and integration tasks using proven architectures and techniques.
  • Maintain metadata and master data via a data catalog to ensure compliance and governance.
  • Train and mentor the Informatics team in data pipelining and preparation techniques.
  • Assist in producing datasets and simple analytics tools for technical and non-technical end users.
  • Define and execute methods to ensure new or modified programs have no adverse impact on systems operation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five years of ETL experience and data warehouse development required.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Matillion preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Excel, and Tableau preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, logical, and organizational skills required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Minimum 30 lb. Lifting.
  • May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.
