Job Overview

Position: Final Assembly - Cab Wiring


Objective: To finalize the electrical connections between the chassis and the truck body, ensuring a fully operational product ready for delivery to clients.
Role Summary: Responsible for the wiring of the truck cab to the chassis, ensuring all operational controls and functions are effectively integrated.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Route the wiring harness from New Way through the chassis into the cab.
  • Integrate the DOT chassis wiring with the New Way DOT harness.
  • Install various systems including camera, scale, and radar systems.
  • Set up custom cab consoles equipped with body switches.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on completed work for functionality and aesthetics.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate with team members to manage workflow.
  • Interpret work orders and schematics accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Enhance quality standards through effective troubleshooting methods.
  • Utilize mathematical skills, including understanding fractions and angles.
  • Employ a variety of hand and power tools competently.
  • Work with electrical wiring, particularly 12 Volt DC systems.
  • Operate machinery safely and report any hazards to the appropriate departments.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Auto Mechanics is preferred.
