Position: Final Assembly - Cab Wiring
Objective: To finalize the electrical connections between the chassis and the truck body, ensuring a fully operational product ready for delivery to clients.
Role Summary: Responsible for the wiring of the truck cab to the chassis, ensuring all operational controls and functions are effectively integrated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Route the wiring harness from New Way through the chassis into the cab.
- Integrate the DOT chassis wiring with the New Way DOT harness.
- Install various systems including camera, scale, and radar systems.
- Set up custom cab consoles equipped with body switches.
- Conduct inspections and tests on completed work for functionality and aesthetics.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with team members to manage workflow.
- Interpret work orders and schematics accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Enhance quality standards through effective troubleshooting methods.
- Utilize mathematical skills, including understanding fractions and angles.
- Employ a variety of hand and power tools competently.
- Work with electrical wiring, particularly 12 Volt DC systems.
- Operate machinery safely and report any hazards to the appropriate departments.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Auto Mechanics is preferred.
