About the Role:The Healthcare Center Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing a diverse range of staff members, including both support and technical personnel, ensuring that scheduling and service levels are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the overall operations of a medium-sized healthcare facility (2+ regularly scheduled employees).
- Allocates a significant portion of time to patient care and/or technical expertise as necessary.
- Supervises technical Team Leaders and monitors all daily operational processes for Medical Leaders and providers.
- Compiles input for the performance evaluation process for all team members.
- Oversees a staff typically composed of RNs, administrative, and technical personnel (staff may be exempt or nonexempt); responsible for adhering to appropriate processes for staff management, including talent acquisition, staff development, and performance management.
- Conducts interviews, training, and ensures successful orientation and onboarding of new colleagues.
- Manages daily operations, workflow, work schedules, and timecard monitoring to ensure efficient and effective healthcare center performance.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and presents resolutions and recommendations to the Director of Client Operations.
- Recommends staffing models based on objective scheduling and volume analysis - presents to the Director of Client Operations for approval.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory, procedural, policy, and licensing requirements.
- Completes incident reports as necessary and assists the Medical Care and Outcomes department with investigations and resolution of complaints.
- Communicates and coordinates corporate messages, ensuring implementation of policies and procedures.
- Provides coaching and feedback to staff regularly.
- Manages the internal budget, reviews expenses, purchases supplies, and inventories equipment and medications as appropriate.
- Assists in identifying and scheduling local per diem staff.
- Collaborates with the Medical Leader at the site to address internal site issues.
- Maintains regular communication with staff, conducts meetings, and keeps staff informed.
- Acts as the healthcare center's infection control lead and collaborates with the corporate Director of Quality and Infection Control Officer.
- May interact with client representatives as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Current license as a LPN/LVN, RN, or NP/PA in the practicing state.
- Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S) may be required for some sites.
- Current hands-on certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required.
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in the medical field.
- 3 years' management experience preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Excellent computer skills (Internet software, spreadsheet, word processing, etc.).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Training skills preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
