Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our team at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex network systems to ensure efficient and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network infrastructure to support the FBI's digital forensic investigative infrastructure
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to select hardware and software components
  • Develop and maintain physical and virtual networking devices, including Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions
  • Research and evaluate network equipment and solutions to meet mission objectives
  • Develop automated methods to deploy switches and firewalls with consistent results
Requirements
  • Must be a current, permanent FBI employee
  • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
  • Some travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with advanced networking technologies, such as IPv6, QoS, and RDMA
  • Knowledge of systems engineering practices, including network automation and virtualization
  • Experience with commercial cloud computing technologies
