Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Neurophysiology Tech I to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of neurodiagnostic procedures to evoke, record, and study electrical physiological brain or nerve activities for use in diagnosing neurological disorders.
Responsibilities- Perform neurodiagnostic procedures, including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies
- Record and analyze data to diagnose neurological disorders
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff
- Work flexible hours to meet patient and departmental needs
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to push or pull equipment up to 20 lbs
- Ability to lift equipment/supplies up to 10 lbs
- Ability to lift and move neonatal through adult patient populations
- Ability to assemble complex equipment and perform fine motor skills
- Completion of an electroneurodiagnostic (END) program required
- Associate's degree in Neuroscienses or related field required and one year of EEG experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Neurosciences or related field required and one year of EEG experience preferred
- In lieu of the above, four years of EEG experience or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification is acceptable
