Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed HVAC Technician to join our team at Owens Realty Services. As a key member of our facilities support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services for our commercial and educational facilities in Hartford County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to multiple locations to provide facilities support, utilizing a company vehicle as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems involving HVAC principles, controlling and repairing all types of heating, cooling, air distribution, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all types of equipment, including split systems, air handlers, thermostats, condensers, fans, evaporators, and more.
  • Utilize standard HVAC hand tools and conduct leak detection and repairs as needed.
  • Work effectively with automation systems, including Andover, Trane, Alerton, Johnson Controls, Automated Logic, and the BACnet protocol.
Requirements
  • High School Education or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience with HVAC systems and controls in a commercial or educational building setting.
  • Valid CT driver's license, clear driving record, and residency in the Greater Hartford Area.
  • Minimum S-2 license and working knowledge of HVAC control systems, including Andover, Trane, Alerton, Johnson Controls, Automated Logic, and the BACnet protocol.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and work order systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will involve frequent exposure to hazardous materials and waste, as well as working near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
