Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medications according to established policies and protocols, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Clinical Services: Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners, and offer accurate and timely drug information to the hospital's professional staff.
- Patient Education: Provide drug education to patients and their families, promoting understanding and adherence to medication regimens.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities, collecting data and conducting monitors and inspections to ensure optimal patient care.
- Leadership: Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, verifying daily activities and ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
- Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Pharmacy registration in the State of practice, and BLS or ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date.
