Work Schedule: 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Contract Duration: 39 weeks
Qualifications:
- Must possess CCC-SLP certification and have experience with pediatric populations.
Compensation Details:
The hourly rate of $65 is a fair estimate of the compensation that may be offered, influenced by various factors such as experience and location.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication abilities, cognitive skills, and oral-motor functions.
- Evaluate the home environment when necessary and determine equipment needs related to speech and language.
- Identify speech and language disorders and collaborate with physicians to develop a tailored care plan.
- Implement speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and tools.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members about their roles in the therapy process.
- Recommend appropriate communication devices and audiological assessments as needed.
- Document clinical progress and prepare summaries based on the achievement of therapeutic goals.
- Provide guidance to patients and families regarding treatment plans.
- Identify additional service needs for patients and make referrals as necessary.
- Adhere to professional standards and maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Current licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the relevant state.
- Preferred: One year of professional experience in Speech Language Pathology.
- Must comply with all applicable professional standards and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
