Job Overview

West Fraser, Inc is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operator Apprentice to join our team. As an entry-level role, this position offers the opportunity to learn and grow within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to mill safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform various tasks, including cleaning equipment, collecting debris, and disposing of waste.
  • Relieve production positions and operate industrial machinery, demonstrating a willingness to adapt to changing job assignments.
  • Support our culture of safety and teamwork, communicating effectively with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum six months of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to loud noises and varying temperatures.
  • Capacity to perform essential job functions, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
