Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at the City of Rocky Mount, NC Fire Department. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

About the Role:

  • Estimated Salary: $52,327.54 - $78,491.32 annually
  • Part-time and full-time positions available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care
  • Fight fires and perform related duties
  • Conduct public education classes on fire safety and prevention
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified firefighter through North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal
  • Valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina
  • Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the National Fire Protection Association and the North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission
