Position Overview:

The Material Handler is responsible for various tasks related to the movement and management of products and materials within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute physical and administrative tasks associated with the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining accurate records and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Handle heavy items and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and cherry pickers, while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Prepare and document shipments, including weighing items and calculating shipping costs.
  • Organize and manage inventory, ensuring materials are stocked and readily available for production lines.
  • Assist in preparing kitting packages for assembly operations as needed.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines, receiving clear instructions for daily tasks.
  • Utilize electric pallet jacks effectively to facilitate material handling.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks, walkie riders, order pickers, and reach trucks is preferred.
