Worlds of Fun is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical systems throughout the park, including lighting, facility electrical systems, and other electrical components as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain electrical components of the park's rides and equipment, including lighting.
- Perform general electrical work, including changing transformers, running conduit, and pulling wire using a variety of hand and power tools and standard measuring instruments.
- Select materials necessary for the work and make standard shop computations relating to the dimension of work.
- Welding and soldering skills are preferred for a natural transition into the position.
- A thorough knowledge of the National Electricians' Code is required.
- Ability to work with varying voltages up to and including 13,000 volts.
- Basic analytical skills necessary to organize workload to establish priorities.
- Ability to read materials, including blueprints and drawings, to interpret and analyze content.
- Ability to write to explain or describe.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 75% of work activities.
- Operate standard electrical maintenance equipment and hand tools, vehicles, hydraulic benders, ladders and scaffolding, electrical testing equipment, and welding equipment.
- Associate Degree (2-year College or Tech School)
- 3 - 5 Years Related Experience
- At Least 18 Years of Age
- Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and platforms.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, charts, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Ability to identify electrical wires by color.
- Complex Problem Solving: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
- Valid state Driver's License
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
