**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Construction Specialist to join our team at Industrial Trade Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our projects.

Salary: $28 - $34 per hour

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of concrete construction, including preparing sites, performing housekeeping duties, and assisting in activities such as shoveling cement and operating machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sites for daily work and perform necessary housekeeping duties
  • Assist in activities such as shoveling cement, mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment and movement of machinery
  • Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered tools
  • Tend to machines that pump concrete, grout, and sand
  • Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery and tools
  • Operate air monitoring devices in confined environments
  • Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
  • Control traffic passing near work zones
  • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications
  • Erect and disassemble scaffolding and other temporary structures
  • Loading, unloading, and identifying materials, machinery, and tools

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or related area
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction industry
  • Able to read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications
  • Ability to work under immediate supervision and follow established guidelines
