Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Assistant will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients in our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and a commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the total nursing care for all patients within the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting or enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's program, preferably in nursing
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management certification within 6 months of start date in department/position
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position
