Job Summary

The Phoenix Senior Living organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wellness Director to join their team.

The Wellness Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and wellness programs to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director of Resident Care to ensure seamless integration of clinical programs and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Train and onboard clinical and care coordinator team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Partner with the Regional Director of Resident Care to provide Medication Care Manager training to team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and community resources to ensure residents receive optimal care.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of department management experience working with elders or disabled individuals.
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to schedule, orientate, and train staff.
    • Proficient in using MS Office.
    • Understanding of infection control procedures.
    • Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing.
