Job Summary

Midstate Radiology Associates is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at our Vernon Imaging Location. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on patients according to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic MRI scanning procedures by selecting the correct technique and utilizing patient assessment to produce high-quality images.
  • Participate in complex invasive MRI exams by assisting the radiologist in performing procedures using proper sterile technique.
  • Start intravenous sites, assess existing sites, and inject intravenous contrast according to established protocols.
  • Maintain the MRI equipment in good operating order and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Document patient and exam information, store images, and prepare examinations for radiologist interpretation.
  • Accurately input data into the RIS system and possess computer skills to meet departmental needs.
  • Perform and document weekly quality assurance testing on equipment to maintain high performance.
  • Work effectively as a team member and provide clinical supervision and instruction to students.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology program.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • CT state license.
  • CPR certification may be required.
  • Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience as a radiological technologist.
  • Associates or Applied Science Degree in a related field.
Working Conditions

May be required to rotate on night, weekend, and/or holiday call schedule. May be required to cover ancillary offices as needed. OSHA Class 1 exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens. May involve physical lifting and/or walking.
