Position Summary
The Painter will be tasked with painting, finishing, and preserving a diverse range of interior and exterior surfaces and structures, under the guidance of the Service Manager and/or Property Manager. This role primarily involves painting for apartment turnovers, as well as for both residential and commercial buildings, including shared spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint various materials.
- Operate, clean, and maintain painting tools and equipment.
- Perform drywall repairs, texturing, and spraying as needed.
- May also engage in general light manual labor tasks.
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and relevant health, safety, and environmental laws.
- Maintain a solid understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the painting industry.
- Follow instructions and established guidelines to fulfill job functions.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and seminars as required.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in painting or a related field is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a dependable work vehicle (truck, van, car, etc.) with current insurance.
- Availability for occasional night/weekend on-call duties with the maintenance team is necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others are essential.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Physical capability to perform job responsibilities, including the ability to lift, stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and use both hands.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, with some rotating on-call responsibilities.
Compensation: $23-$25 per hour
