We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at OU Health Physicians Tulsa, Women's Healthcare Specialists. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care: Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the OBGYN department.
- Patient Intake and Preparation: Conduct patient intake, including taking medical histories, vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Patient Education: Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Procedure Support: Assist with in-office procedures as needed.
- Referral Coordination: Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up appointments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an approved Practical Nurse training program; or a recent graduate or a student nurse who will be graduating within 4-6 weeks.
- Licensure: Must have a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the State of Oklahoma; or in the case of a recent or upcoming graduate, be eligible to obtain a license within 30 days of job interview.
- Skills: Proficient nursing skills applicable to this position; proficient in typing; excellent customer service skills; ability to work successfully with a diverse group of faculty, other staff, and patients; ability to follow directions and work as part of a team; ability to follow patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA) guidelines.
